A single-storey rear extension built onto a brick house beside its conservatory. Ian photographed it as it went up: the footings, the walls, the steels over the new opening, the rooflights, and the room finished as a kitchen.
The brick on the extension was matched to the house, so from the garden it reads as part of the original building.
